Lynn Draper and Storybook Theatre Cast members

To date, Storybook Theatre’s owner Lynn Draper and her troupe of fine actors have enthralled literally millions of children and adults. Their dynamic performances at theaters, schools, festivals, teacher workshops, churches, businesses and other events across America have won rave reviews from men, women, and children alike. Founded as Storybook Theatre in 1991 by Lynn and her sister, Christi Stuebben, the sister-team dissolved due to Christi moving out of state, but the vision grew into Storybook Theatre of Texas… and beyond!

Recognized by the Texas Commission on the Arts as a member of their touring roster, Storybook Theatre is one of the most popular and sought after children’s theater groups in the country. Branded as, edutainers, the SBT cast members combine their entertainment skills and effective educational techniques in an interactive way to ignite a desire in young minds to excel in reading.

You’ll find many members of the troupe have dedicated their lives to the nurturing and teaching of children. Each team member has studied and taught dramatic presentations on and off stage in one form or another.

Traveling and living around the world has enriched and broadened the teaching skills and cultural knowledge of many members.

Storybook Theatre is always on the lookout for local talent to join our troupe. The criteria to consider before trying out is:

  • You have a love for performing.
  • You love working with children.
  • You must be a female (sorry, guys).
  • You reside in and around San Antonio, TX.
  • You must be able to work during school hours and to travel outside of San Antonio.
  • You must be able to spend 1-3 nights away from home on occasion.
