Traveling across China for 21-days and winning the 4th China Children’s Theatre Festival’s, “Excellent Play” Award–a once upon a lifetime experience.
Storybook Theatre International members, Lynn Draper, Jan Russell, Stephanie Phelps, and Linda Goldfarb met amazing people, tasted exotic food, experienced the culture away from the tourist traps, rode in a super train, planes, and automobiles during their China tour.
It was an honor to be the first American theatre group to perform in the China National Children’s Theatre during their 4th China Children’s Theatre Festival.
We found the largest panda ever and couldn’t resist having our picture taken with him.
Amazing and often exotic, each meal was an adventure. Note the large lazy susan in the center, everyone uses his or her personal chopsticks to take food from the bowls and place on their plates, or at times, directly into their mouths.
It was a joy to sit with our gracious hosts for several meals.
We performed in many theatre houses, the majority of them were huge!
