Jan’s life before Storybook Theatre was certainly interesting.

She holds an accounting degree from Stephen F. Austin and worked as an accountant for an oil and gas company. Jan spent 20-years as an Air Force wife, raising 2 sons while volunteering at schools and churches, singing and performing in various venues, and directing a children’s choir in Oklahoma. She enjoyed making an income via her small craft business, as a professional seamstress, a property manager, and a substitute teacher.

Her favorite motto is, “Bloom where you are planted,” and she continues to prove that by the many hats she’s worn over the years.

Music and theater have always been a big part of her life and once she started working with Storybook Theatre in 2003, she felt she had found her true calling.
